Five reminders for your nervous system for the next time you’re in a launch
Number 5: it's not over until it's over
As I write this to you I am preparing to enter a launch window in my business for my group program, Your Simple & Spacious Business.
This is my seventh time launching this program, early-bird opens to the waitlist tomorrow and my nervous system is already feeling that ‘gulp, let’s get ready to do this’ sensation.
Because launching is A LOT.
It’s ask us for the courage to show up, take up space, and leap into the unknown of what the outcome will be.
And if I’ve learned anything in my business journey these past ten years, and especially since first launching this program back in 2022, it’s that holding myself steady through the nervous system activation of a launch is one of my most important jobs.
Even though this program has launched so well in the past, even though it’s got so many gushing testimonials from members inside, even though I know it’s one of the most magical things I’ve ever brought to life in my work: I still have absolutely no idea how this launch will go.
And my nervous system can find that oh so triggering.
It can leave me wanting to run away and hide - which is the exact opposite of how I want to feel right now.
I want to feel steady and rooted in courage, in the beautiful invitation of this offer, and in the trust that whoever is meant to join us inside during this enrolment will do so.
So that is my number one job right now: holding my nervous system through the next two weeks as I gently open up the doors to YS&SB again so that I can show up with courage, intention, and ease every step of the way.
These are the five reminders I’m rooting into to support me to do so, just in case they can be encouraging for you during your next launch too:
1: You’re allowed to take up space and invite people into your awesome offer
It’s not sleazy to put your lights on and let your community know why this offer may be a hell yes for them right now, what magic and support they can expect to find inside. As long as I’m selling from a place of integrity and inviting not persuading I know I can feel good about the space I’m taking up in my business.
2: This is a beautiful opportunity to connect with your next hell yes customers and clients
My job during a launch isn’t to hustle for as many sales as possible or ‘overcome people’s objections’ or ‘tap into paint points’ or any of the other marketing advice that feels so icky and out of alignment to me.
My job is just to make it easy for the people YS&SB is a hell yes for right now to discover if the time is right for them to join, to share the magic they can expect inside, to illuminate how it feels to be supported through this program, and to hold space for them to make an intentional investment decision too.
3: You are safe no matter the outcome
I’ve had YS&SB launches that have met my biggest hopes and goals and others that have been a little slower too - that’s okay, it’s just part of the wild ride of entrepreneurship. I am safe no matter the outcome - I’m grateful to be in a place where the financial health of my business is never dependent on one launch and I have been doing this long enough now to know that I am safe to figure out on the other side whatever outcome this launch may bring.
We have to root into this sense of safety, into our ability to figure out whatever comes next, if we’re going to feel steady enough to show up with courage and intention in our work.
4: The seeds you’re sowing right now may not always bloom as you first expect them to
Many times someone has joined YS&SB and told me that they sat through multiple launches already, waiting for a future enrolment when the time was right for them to join.
Yes it’s great to reach our sales goals and have a launch go really well, but everything we’re doing through a launch is also sowing seeds that will bloom for the months and years ahead to come too. Any time we take up intentional space in our business we are giving potential hell yes clients and customers an opportunity to dive deeper into what we do and build connection and trust with our work.
5: It’s not over until it’s over
So much of the work we have to do during a launch is holding our nerve until cart close - so often people join on that very last day but if we gave up in the middle when things were maybe feeling a little quiet we wouldn’t get to that finish line where we can really discover what was truly possible through this launch.
We have to make a plan that feels good to us, hold our nervous system through the emotional rollercoaster, and see it through all the way to cart close - often there’s a little more momentum waiting for us as we make our way to the finish line.
I’ll say it again: launching is A LOT.
I’ll be honest: I’ve been feeling a little dread the last few days, knowing what I’m about to put my nervous system though (where I’m at in my hormonal cycle isn’t helping too!)
But I had to remind myself: this is a beautiful opportunity to welcome some awesome new humans into this program that I’m so proud of - and I’m so safe to show up, give it my version of 100% right now, and see what’s possible through this launch.
So my biggest intention for the next two weeks?
Live in the joy of the launch more than I live in the nervous system activation.
In the joy of welcoming inside some awesome new humans, in how proud I get to feel of what I’ve built the past two years with YS&SB, of how sharing the testimonials from members makes me feel so much gratitude and joy.
And my encouragement for you the next time you’re in launch? Know that you’re not alone if your nervous system feels activated and make it your number one job to hold yourself through it with compassion, courage, and a little tenacity too.
And if you’d love to never do business alone again and feel deeply supported to bring more ease, joy, and intentional growth into your entrepreneurial journey? I would be so honoured to welcome you inside YS&SB if it feels like the right time for you to join us inside.
