Has business felt a little slow for you in 2025?
Listen to an honest chat between two business friends ๐
Business is a wild, wild ride.
Some years and seasons are easeful and flowing, others feel a little slower and messier and thatโs okay.
I actually wrote about this last year:
2025 has been a little slower of a start to the year for me than usual, mostly because Iโve had slower launches than usual for my group program Your Simple & Spacious Business.
Has it been a lot for my nervous system at times to have a program that sold well for 3 years to suddenly start selling a little slower? Sure has.
But also, after 11 years of running my business now I know that this is normal and that itโs just an invitation for me to look at my business and ask: whereโs the leaky bucket here? What does my business need to support it to still thrive?
So when I saw my business friend Amelia Hruby share that her sales were a little slower this year so far too I asked her if she wanted to have an honest chat about it for her podcast if that could be supportive for her listeners and she said yes and it just went live today ๐
๐ Navigating the Messy Middle โ Small Business in Hard Times with Jen Carrington
We have a really beautiful deep dive into why we think sales are a little slower in our businesses this year, how weโre holding our nervous system through it, adjustments weโre making, and how we want to experiment with our marketing and messaging too.
You can listen this way and I really hope itโs an encouraging and nourishing episode for you if youโre navigating a slower season right now too.
And hereโs the thing I want to encourage you with the most: slow seasons are so normal.
Like I said, Iโm 11 years into running my business. Slow seasons are inevitable when youโre in business for that long. But we didnโt get this far to only get this far and itโs an opportunity to look at our business and marketing with fresh eyes and ask: how can I gently support my business to thrive in this season?
And Amelia is hosting a class next week on How To Run Your Creative Business During A Recession (Or Any Slow Times) that Iโm really looking forward to joining - just in case it can be supportive for you too!
Let me know in the comments - how has business felt for you this year so far? How do you hold your nervous system through slower seasons and launches?
Until next time,
Jen
